Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia semakin hari semakin menprihatinkan. Tedapat kesenjangan pendidikan di kota dan daerah terpencil. Rendahnya kualitas pendidikan disebabkan oleh efektivitas, efisiensi dan standarisasi pengajaran. Pendidik kurang kreatif dalam melakukan pembimbingan kepada siswa, kurikulum yang umum juga membuat potret pendidikan semakin buruk. Hal ini disebabkan karena pembuatan kurikulum dilakukan di Jakarta dengan situasi yang berada di Jakarta tanpa melihat daerah tertinggal sehingga lulusan hanya dapat mencari kerja tanpa bisa menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode regresi linier. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan metode non probability sampling atau proses sampling yang dilakukan secara tidak acak dan dilakukan berdasarkan pertimbangan atau judgment sampling.Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah guru di Kota Batam dengan target populasi merupakan guru sekolah menengah atas (SMA) dan sekolah menegah kejuruan (SMK). Sebanyak 341 kuesioner yang dihasilkan dari penyebaran kepada sekolah menengah atas dan kejuruan di Kota Batam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel motivasi, kepuasan kerja, sikap dan kinerja manajemen pengetahuan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja. Sedangkan dukungan sosial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja. Menurut para responden mereka kurang memiliki kesempatan untuk mengenal orang lain dan bertemu dengan orang lain di dalam pekerjaannya karena pekerjaan mereka yang hanya monoton mengajar. ********************************************************************** The quality of education in Indonesia is still far behind. It happens because there are educational gaps between big cities and remote areas. The low quality of education is also caused by effectiveness, efficiency and standardization of teaching. Moreover, teachers are not creative in guiding students, and the general curriculum makes it worse. The curriculum was designed and created in Jakarta without knowing the situation in remote areas, so the graduates are only be able to find works, and incompetent of creating jobs. This research was done using linear regression method. The selection of samples used non-probability sampling method which was carried out based on judgment sampling. The populations in this study were high school (SMA) and vocational high school (SMK) teachers in Batam. A total of 341 questionnaires were distributed to the participants. The results of this study showed that four independent variables consisting of motivation, job satisfaction, attitude, knowledge management performance give a significant effect on performance as the dependent variable. Meanwhile, social support did not have significant effect on performance. The participants stated that they barely have chance to know and to meet new people in their working environment because of their monotonous work which is teaching
