Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyzing the impact of corporate governance which is measure by board independence, board size, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, audit committee, nomination committee and remuneration committee to firm performance which is measure by Tobin's Q. This research populations were taking from the financial reports of companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period 2009 to 2013. Using the purposive sampling method, the samples which meet the requirements for this research are 291 firms or 1455 observations data. This research uses panel regression method to analyze the relationship between independent variables and dependent variabel on longitudinal data. The observation data are then analyzed using Eviews 7. The result indicated that institutional ownership, nomination committee, solvability, board size and firm size have a significant effect on firm performance in Indonesian Stock Exchange. However this research found that board independence, managerial ownership, audit committee, and remuneration committee are insignificant to firm performance in Indonesian Stock Exchange.
