Abstract
A bridge is a crucial part of infrastructure that connects land areas separated by rivers, valleys, roads, or other traffic. Its main function is to facilitate the movement of people, vehicles, and goods from one location to another. Given the importance of bridges for improving welfare, careful planning is essential in their construction. Therefore, this study aims to determine the cable requirements for a suspension bridge through calculations that include dead loads, live loads, and temperature effects. Based on assumptions and calculations, a suspension bridge with a 500- meter main span requires 4 main cables to ensure structural strength and stability
