Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the effect of dividend yield, debt ratio, and changes in earnings on dividend per share. Methods of analysis used to view and analyze the factors that influence the dividend per share in the company of manufacturing and non manufacturing sector in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research population is the companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange, from 2006 to 2010. Using the purposive sampling method, samples that meet the requirements are 61 firms or 305 observations data. The data are then analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). The results showed that the dividend yield variable has a positive and significant impact on dividend per share. While the other independent variables are the variables debt ratio has a significant negative effect and changes in earnings have a positive effect but no significant effect on the dividend per share.
