Abstract

This research aims at analyzing the effect of leverage, previous investment, cash flow, firm value, sales growth, return on equity and firm size on investment decisions. Methods of analysis used to view and analyze the factors that influence the investment decisions in the company of manufacturing and non manufacturing sector in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research population is the companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange, from 2005 to 2010. Using the purposive sampling method, samples that meet the requirements are 36 firms or 216 observations data. The data are then analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). The results showed that previous investment and return on equity have a significant positive impact on investment decisions, while the cash flow and sales growth have a significant negative impact on investment decisions. The results also show that leverage, firm value and firm size have no significant influence on the investment decisions.
