Abstract

This study aims at examines the effect individual charateristic on employees’ performance in Industrial Batamindo manufacturer. More specifically, the study examines the effect of organizational commitment and job satisfaction on employees’ job performance. The dependent variable used in this analysis is job performance. The independent variables used in this analysis are organizational commitment and job satisfaction. The analysis was implemented on a sample of 379 operators from electronic industries in Industrial Batamindo. A self administered questionnaire was developed to unrandomly survey by using quota sampling in order to examine the significance, strength and nature of the relationship between the above mentioned variables. Response patterns, analyzed by gender, age, marital status, education and tenure are also discussed. Statistic method used in this study is multiple regression method, and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program. The results reveal that affective commitment and job satisfaction has a weak related on job performance where as the variable of continuance commitment and normative commitment has a strong positive relation on job performance. And the job satisfaction has a strong positive relation with organizational commitment.
