Abstract
Each company will try to mobilize existing resources and combine them to achieve maximum results as expected. The important resource is Human Resources. The factors that will affect in the company are organizational commitment. To keep a potential employee, company should consider the organizational commitment. Besides that, the causes that affect the organizational commitment are ethics and job satisfaction The purpose of this study to try the influence between ethics as an independent variable to organizational commitment as the dependent variable with the job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The data obtained from employees working at manufacturing companies located in Batamindo industrial area, by using purposive sampling (objective considerations). Using simple regression analysis, survey methods conducted by distributing 200 questionnaires and returns by 100%. The results showed ethics affect to normative commitment, ethics have no effect to affective commitment, job satisfaction effect to normative commitment, job satisfaction has no effect to affective commitment and ethics effect to job satisfaction Keywords : Ethics, Job satisfaction, Continuance commitment, Normative commitment, Affective commitment, Purposive sampling.
