Abstract

This study is aimed to design a program matrix truss structure calculations using Microsoft Excel 2007, then to learn how to read the results of the calculation matrix and to find out how to input data correctly. Using a matrix truss structure calculations program can help us design and analysis some plane truss structures such as roof truss easily and quickly. In designing a program matrix truss structure calculations in Microsoft Excel 2007, all formula from handbook matrix analysis of structures are used and aided by the Excel functions. The results which we got are axial forces that occur on each stem, placement reaction that we needed and had been tested by three approaches truth of the resultant horizontal force, vertical force and moment force. Also made a guidebook for helping us how to running the program until to reading the result analysis of that calculations program.
