Abstract

Maksud dilaksanakannya kerja praktik ini adalah untuk mempermudah Phang Brothers Furniture dalam mencatat segala jenis kegiatan usaha ke dalam sebuah sistem akuntansi yang dirancang oleh penulis. Phang Brothers Furniture merupakan sebuah UMKM di bidang furnitur yang terletak di Ruko Tiban Impian Blok A2 No 7&8, Batam. Pencatatan yang dilakukan oleh Phang Brothers Furniture masih tidak terperinci dikarenakan pemilik hanya melakukan pencatatan beberapa transaksi yang dianggap perlu saja. Kerja praktik ini dilaksanakan pada periode 15 Juli 2019 – 18 Januari 2020 dengan melakukan berbagai macam proses, dimulai dari wawancara hingga implementasi sistem. Luaran yang dihasilkan dari kerja praktik ini berupa sebuah sistem yang dirancang dengan menggunakan program Microsoft Access 2007 guna menghasilkan laporan keuangan bagi Phang Brothers Furniture. Perancangan sistem dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan kebutuhan serta standar akuntansi yang berlaku. Perubahan terhadap kondisi perusahaan yang lebih baik dapat dirasakan Phang Brothers Furniture setelah dilakukannya implementasi sistem. Hal ini didukung dengan terbentuknya laporan keuangan yang mampu membantu pemilik dalam melakukan pengambilan keputusan apabila terjadi kendala di masa depan. Penerapan sistem akuntansi disarankan untuk dilaksanakan seterusnya guna mengembangkan kinerja usaha. ********************************************************************** The purpose of doing this field work is to facilitate Phang Brothers Furniture in recording all types of business activities into the accounting system designed by the author. Phang Brothers Furniture is a furniture enterprise located in Ruko Tiban Impian Blok A2 No. 7 & 8, Batam. The recording done by Phang Brothers Furniture is still not detailed because they only record a number of transactions that they consider necessary. This field work was done in the period of 15 July 2019 - 18 January 2020 by conducting some processes, starting from interview until the process of system implementation. The output created from this field work consists of an accounting system designed using Microsoft Access 2007 to produce financial reports for Phang Brothers Furniture. The designing of the system took the needs of the enterprise as a consideration and it was created based on the accounting standards. After implementing the accounting system, Phang Brothers Furniture could finally feel the changes of the enterprise conditions in a positive way. This statement is supported by the financial statements that could help the owners in making decisions in the future when needed. Continuous of the use of the accounting system is suggested in order to develop a better business performance.
