Abstract

Tujuan utama dari proyek magang ini adalah merancang, membangun, dan menerapkan sistem manajemen penjualan dan inventaris yang baru. Sistem ini dapat menyederhanakan aliran operasi bisnis, mengurangi langkah-langkah yang tidak perlu dalam menggunakan sistem dengan mengintegrasikan berbagai modul yang kompatibel ke satu modul yang lebih terpadu. Sejak 27 Februari 2019, proyek ini telah dikembangkan hingga 8 Juli di tahun yang sama. Arsitektur Client-Server digunakan dalam sistem baru, juga dengan memanfaatkan .Net Framework bersama dengan bahasa VB.Net dari Microsoft. Sistem ini menggunakan MySQL sebagai sistem basis data. Dan untuk menyederhanakan proses desain selama fase pengembangan, DevExpress WinForms digunakan untuk mempercepat; dengan demikian, beberapa fitur canggih yang ditawarkan oleh kontrol DevExpress juga diimplementasikan ke dalam sistem baru. Mesin klien mengambil data dari Server dengan mengandalkan LAN atau Jaringan Area Lokal. Semua data dasar akan terdaftar dalam sistem. Dari data pelanggan ke data pemasok. Bersamaan dengan data transaksi, sistem baru dapat menghasilkan laporan yang berguna bagi manajer untuk melihat dan mengambil keputusan yang sesuai. Sistem ini juga mampu mengekspor dashboard dan laporan yang ada ke berbagai format, terutama format excel sebagai cadangan data. Sistem ini memiliki gaya input yang diinspirasi oleh excel sehingga membuat penyesuaian dari sistem sebelumnya ke sistem yang baru menjadi lebih mudah. Tambahnya, sistem yang baru memiliki fitur pelacakan inventaris dalam bentuk tabel yang memungkinkan pengguna memantau pergerakan persediaan secara kronologis. ********************************************************************** The primary goal of this internship project is to design, build and implement a new sales and inventory management system. The system simplifies the operation flow of the business, to reduce unnecessary steps in using the system by integrating different compatible modules into a compact one. Since the 27th of February 2019, this project has been developed until 8th July of the same year. Client-Server architecture is used in the new system, also by leveraging the .Net Framework along with VB.Net language from Microsoft. The system is using MySQL as the database system. And for simplifying the design process during the development phase, the DevExpress WinForms is used to accelerate; thus, several advanced features that are offered by DevExpress controls are also being implemented into the new system. The client machine is retrieving data from Server relying on LAN or Local Area Network. All of the basic data are being registered in the system. From customer to supplier data. Along with transaction inputs, the new system can produce useful reports for the manager to view and make the decision accordingly. The system also capable of exporting the existing dashboard and reports into any formats, especially excel format for data backups. The system has an excel-inspired input style for the end-users to make an easy adjustment from the previous system to the new one. Plus, in the end, the newly implemented system has a table-view inventory tracking feature that lets users monitor inventory movement chronologically.
