Abstract

Kerja Praktek ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Batam Tourism Polytechnic dalam melaksanakan kebijakan yayasan pada surat nomor SOP 003/Attn/D-PPB/I/2018 yang bertujuan agar internet di lingkunga kampus hanya digunakan untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar. Kegiatan Kerja Praktek dilakukan selama periode 01 Februari 2018 s.d. 01 Juni 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan Kerja Praktek ini adalah observasi, interview, perancangan dan simulasi. Kerja Praktek ini menghasilkan sebuah aturan baru untuk router Mikrotik pada topologi jaringan di Batam Tourism Polytechnic. Luaran yang disampaikan kepada perusahaan meliputi desain topologi yang baru dengan ditambahkan policy atau rules pada router Mikrotik. Adapun hasil akhir dari proyek tersebut pengguna internet di lingkungan kampus tidak dapat mengakses situ-situs dan ekstensi file video yang terdapat pada policy yang telah dibuat tersebut. Policy yang dibuat terdapat pada Firewal Layer 7 Protocol, salah satu fitur yang terdapat pada router Mikrotik. Cara kerja policy tersebut adalah melakukan pemblokiran situs-situs dan ekstensi file video yang telah di input kedalam policy tersebut. Sehingga saat komputer pengguna internet atau PC Client terhubung ke jaringan Batam Tourism Polytechnic, maka akses ke situs-situs yang telah diblokir tersebut tidak dapat terhubung dan tidak dapat diakses dan saat melakukan streaming ke ekstensi file video tidak dapat load atau berjalan. ********************************************************************** This Job Training aims to overcome the problems faced by Batam Tourism Polytechnic in implementing the foundation's policy on letter number SOP 003 / Attn / D-PPB / I / 2018 which aims to internet in campus environment only used for teaching and learning activities. Job Training Activities conducted during the period February 01, 2018 until 01 June 2018. The method used in the implementation of this Job Training is observation, interview, design and simulation. This Job Training generates a new rule for the MikroTik router on the network topology at Batam Tourism Polytechnic. The output delivered to the company includes a new topology design with added policy or rules on the Mikrotik router. The end result of the project Internet users in the campus environment can not access the sites and video file extensions contained in the policy that has been made. The policy created is in the Firewal Layer 7 Protocol, one of the features found on the Mikrotik router. How it works policy is to block the sites and video file extensions that have been input into the policy. So when the internet user's computer or PC Client connects to the Batam Tourism Polytechnic network, access to the blocked sites can not be connected and can not be accessed and when streaming to video file extension can not load or run.
