Abstract

Universitas Internasional Batam pernah mengalami kehilangan data email dan file server secara permanen yang disebabkan olah rusaknya harddisk server utama mereka. Tidak adanya backup data dan replikasi server menjadi salah satu faktor utama tidak bisanya di-recovery data server utama tersebut. Perancangan dan implementasi veeam server sebagai backup dan replikasi server bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan data, sehingga kehilangan data permanen di Universitas Internasional Batam tidak terjadi lagi. Perancangan backup dan replika server ini dirancang pada dua lokasi data center Universitas Internasional Batam, yaitu data center gedung A dan gedung B. Hasil dari perancangan tersebut, replikasi dan backup server dapat diimplementasikan dengan baik. Backup data dan replikasi server dilakukan secara otomatis setiap harinya dari server utama ke server backup dan replikasi. ********************************************************************** Universitas Internasional Batam has experienced the loss of email data and file server permanently caused by the destruction of their main server harddisk. The absence of data backup and server replication is one of the main factors that can not be recovered in the main server data. The design and implementation of veeam server as backup and replication server aims to increase data availability, so that permanent data loss at International Universitas Internasional Batam does not happen again. The design of backup and replica server is designed at two data center location of Universitas Internasional Batam, that is data center of building A and building B. The result of the replication and backup server design can be implemented well. Data backup and server replication are performed automatically every day from the primary server to the backup and replication servers.
