Abstract
The research aims to determine the effect of education level, work experience and internal control on the quality of employees of shipyards in Batam. The dependent variable studied is employee quality measured by the modified Jones Model. The independent variables used in this study are the level of education, work experience and internal control. When choosing a research sample (purposive sampling) there are two types of selection methods, including: sample selection based on considerations based on quotas. This study uses sample selection based on judgment (judgment sampling), because it is a type of sample selection that is in accordance with the information needed (generally adapted to the objectives or research problems). The sample used in this study is the accounting department and department finance of shipyard companies in Batam, at least 110 employees were studied. The results of this study indicate that the level of education is not proven to be able to significantly influence employee quality positively. Inversely proportional to the independent variable work experience that is able to significantly affect employee quality positively, as well as internal control variables that can affect employee quality significantly.
