Abstract

Seiring berkembangnya zaman maka teknologi informasi juga ikut terkena dampaknya dengan berkembang dengan pesat. Di era modern seperti saat ini kebutuhan informasi sangat tinggi sehingga penerapan teknologi informasi terkhusus website merupakan hal yang wajib dilaksanakan bagi perusahaanperusahaan baik itu perorangan maupun kelompok serta tak luput juga instansi pemerintah, pendidikan, dan lain sebagainya. Dengan pesatnya perkembangan ini maka semakin rentan juga keamanannya website dan web server terhadap berbagai serangan eksternal salah satunya yang cukup populer adalah Brute Force yang dilancarkan dari pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab dengan tujuan mencuri informasi dan sandi dari akun pengguna untuk mencoba melakukan log in. Penelitian ini mempunyai misi untuk menganalisa sistem keamanan dari sebuah web server terhadap serangan Brute Force yang nantinya akan menggunakan metode WAF yaitu Web Application Firewall dengan sebuah aplikasi bernama ModEvasive. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan menyimpulkan bagaimana cara yang tepat untuk memberikan perlindungan terhadap web server sekaligus solusi tindak pencegahan terhadap serangan Brute Force agar data klien yang tersimpan di database aman ********************************************************************** Information technology is developing rapidly along with the changing times. In this modern era, the need for information is very high, therefore, the application of information technology, especially websites, is something that must be applied in companies both individuals and groups as well as government agencies, education, and so forth. In line with this development, the security of websites and webservers is increasingly vulnerable to various external attacks. One of the most popular attacks is the Brute Force which is carried out by irresponsible parties with the aim of stealing information and passwords from user accounts to log in to an account. This study aims to analyze the security system of a webserver against Brute Force attacks in the future using the WAF method (Web Application Firewall) with an application called ModEvasive. The results of this study concluded how the suitable way to protect the webserver as well as a solution to prevent Brute Force attacks with the purpose of client data stored in a database are safe.
