Abstract

Kota Batam adalah salah satu pulau di Indonesia berada diluar berbatasan Singapura dan sebagian kecil negara Malaysia. Itu menjadikan pintu masuk wisatawan asing untuk berwisata di kota Batam. Salah satu hal yang menunjang untuk menarik wisatawan datang kebatam ialah wisata lokal. Hutan Wisata Matakucing merupakan tempat wisata lokal yang berada di kota yang memiliki hal unik yang tidak dimiliki oleh tempat wisata lokal lainnya di kota Batam. Meskipun memilik hal unik, masih banyak wisatawan asing maupun lokal yang tidak mengetahui sejarah dan hal-hal yang ditawarkan tempat wisata lokal tersebut. Penulis merancang dan menerapkan pada video dokumenter yang berhubungan dengan sejarah dan fasilitas yang ditawarkan oleh Hutan Wisata Matakucing. Video itu terdiri dari potongan footage-footage video yang disusun hingga membentuk sebuah jalan cerita. Video ini dibuat dan diedit memakai aplikasi perangkat lunak Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. Pada proses perancangan video ini berisi mengenai sejara Hutan Wisata Matakucing, fasilitas yang ditawarkan tempat wisata tersebut dan pengalaman bertemu dengan hewan-hewan yang tidak bisa ditemui di tempat wisata lain di kota Batam. Metode yang digunakan pada pembuatan video ini ialah metode observasi langsung ke hutan wisata matakucing, wawancara bersama narasumber , dan studi pustaka. Pada pengimplementasiannya, video dokumenter ini berdurasi 10 menit dan akan diiunggah ke situs berbagi video Youtube. Hasilnya diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dan titik tumpu dalam proses selanjutnya. ********************************************************************** Batam City is one of the islands in Indonesia outside Singapore bordering and a small part of Malaysia. That makes the entrance of foreign tourists to travel in the city of Batam. One of the things that support to attract tourists coming to Kebatam is local tourism. Matakucing Tourism Forest is a local tourist attraction in the city that has a unique thing that is not owned by other local tourist attractions in the city of Batam. Despite having unique things, there are still many foreign and local tourists who do not know the history and things offered by these local attractions. The author designs and applies it to documentary videos relating to history and facilities offered by the Matakucing Forest Tour. The video consists of footage footage of videos arranged to form a storyline. This video was created and edited using the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 software application. In the process of designing this video, it contains the history of the Matakucing Forest Tourism, the facilities offered by these attractions and the experience of meeting animals that cannot be found in other tourist attractions in the city of Batam. The method used in the making of this video is the method of direct observation to forest tourism matats, interviews with resource persons, and literature study. In its implementation, this documentary video is 10 minutes long and will be uploaded to the YouTube video sharing site. The results are expected to be a reference and fulcrum in the next process.
