Abstract
Tujuan dari melakukan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu apakah ada pengaruh signifikan antara Financial Literacy, Parental Socialization, Peer Influences, Self-Control, beserta Attitudes terhadap Saving Behavior dari mahasiswa. Studi ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa yang ada di Kota Batam. Data yang digunakan untuk melakukan studi ini adalah data primer, diperoleh menggunakan cara mendistribusikan kuesioner sebagai salah satu cara untuk mengumpulkan sampel. Analisa yang dipakai pada studi penelitian ini merupakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Jumlah responden yang dipakai pada studi ini berjumlah 479 responden mahasiswa yang ada di Kota Batam. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah variabel Financial Literacy, Parental Socialization, Peer Influences, Self-Control, dan Attitudes berpengaruh secara signifikan positif terhadap Saving Behavior dari mahasiswa di Kota Batam. Sehingga Saving Behavior dari mahasiswa Kota Batam dipengaruhi oleh variabel Peer Influences, Attitudes, Financial Literacy, Self-Control, dan Parental Socialization. ********************************************************************** The purpose of conducting this research is to be able to know whether if there is a significant influence of financial literacy, parental socialization, peer influences, self-control, along with attitudes towards saving behavior from students. This research was conducted on students in Batam City. The data that is used in doing this research is primary data, this data is gained by scattering the questionnaire as one way to collect samples. The analysis that is used in doing this research is linear regression analysis. The total of samples that is used in the study are 479 student respondents in Batam City. The results of the research provide results that the variables of financial literacy, parental socialization, peer influences, self-control, and attitudes or behaviors significantly influence the saving behavior of students in Batam City. And the saving behavior of Batam City students is influenced by financial literacy variables, parent socialization, peer influence, self-control, and attitude or behavior.
