Abstract
Pelabuhan merupakan sebuah fasilitas penyebrangan yang terdiri dari daratan dan lautan diujung samudera, danau atau sungai, yang berfungsi sebagai tempat bersandarnya kapal dari suatu tempat ke tempat lainnya. Sistem transportasi pada dasarnya terbagi menjadi tiga bagian utama yaitu kendaraan, prasarana lalu lintas jalan, dan terminal. Parkir merupakan tempat berhentinya kendaraan yang sifatnya hanya sementara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yang diperkenalkan oleh metode Hobbs (1979) dan Oppenlander (1976) untuk menghitung volume parkir, akumulasi parkir, indeks parkir, dan kinerja parkir serta diperkuat survey langsung ke lapangan. Kinerja parkir dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa aspek seperti karakteristik parkir dan manajemen parkir di Pelabuhan Ferry Internasional Batam Centre. Bedasarkan data yang didapat diketahui bahwa kapasitas parkir awal di Pelabuhan Ferry Internasional Batam Centre berjumlah 660 petak parkir kendaraan terbagi dengan berbagai jenis yaitu 250 mobil, 400 motor, dan 10 bus. Dari hasil penelitian didapat angka akumulasi maksimum terjadi pada hari libur yaitu pada Hari Minggu dengan angka akumulasi 518 kendaraan mobil, 563 kendaraan motor, dan 28 kendaraan bus. Volume kendaraan didapat 3360 mobil, 1190 motor, dan 118 bus dengan keseluruhan total indeks parkir melebihi 100% yaitu sebesar 207% mobil, 141% motor, 280% bus artinya kinerja parkir di Pelabuhan Ferry Internasional Batam Centre mengalami masalah. Dengan kata lain area parkir hari kerja maupun hari libur di Pelabuhan Ferry Internasional Batam Centre tidak mampu menampung kendaraan yang parkir sehingga harus dibuat gedung parkir untuk mengatasinya. The transportation system is basically divided into three main parts, namely vehicles, traffic and terminals. Parking is a temporary stop of vehicles. This study uses a method introduced by Hobbs (1979) and Oppenlander (1976) methods to calculate parking volume, parking accumulation, parking index, and parking performance and reinforced surveys directly to the field. Parking performance can be influenced by several aspects such as parking characteristics and parking management at Batam Center International Ferry Port. Based on the data obtained it is known that the initial parking capacity in Batam Center International Ferry Port is 660 parking lots of vehicles divided into various types, namely 250 cars, 400 motorbikes, and 10 buses. From the results of the study obtained the highest number that occurred on Sunday with a total tax of 518 vehicles, 563 motor vehicles, and 28 bus vehicles. Vehicle volume was obtained by 3360 cars, 1190 motorbikes, and 118 buses with the overall total parking index exceeding 100% in the amount of 207% of cars, 141% of motorbikes, 280% of buses functioning at the Batam Center International Ferry Port. In other words, parking areas for weekdays and holidays at the Batam Center International Ferry Port cannot accommodate parking vehicles that park the road to overcome them.
