Abstract
Tujuan dari kerja praktek ini yaitu, untuk mengatasi kendala terhadap pemakaian bandwidth yang terdapat pada PT. Central Prima Sukses, dimana setiap jam kerja internet yang digunakan selalu lambat karena pemakaian yang kurang bermanfaat dalam waktu berkerja. Tentunya dengan internet yang berkapasitas 10Mbps, jika dipakai oleh salah satu client untuk meng-download sesuatu yang tidak berhubungan dengan pekerjaan yang membuat internet menjadi lambat saat client yang lain ingin menggunakannya. Oleh karena itu, penulis akan melakukan perancangan dan implementasi manajemen bandwidth pada PT. Central Prima Sukses sebagai cara mengatasi permasalahan yang ada. Pada perancangan ini, penulis akan memakai ilmu tentang metode NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) yang terdiri beberapa tahap yaitu: analisis, desain, simulasi, implementasi, pengawasan, dan manajemen. Hasil dari perancangan ini yakni manajemen bandwidth yang berguna dimana ketika ada beberapa maupun banyak client, bandwidth akan terbagi dengan sendirinya secara merata tergantung jumlah client yang sedang aktif. ********************************************************************** The aim of this practical work is, to overcome the obstacles to the use of bandwidth on PT. Central Prima Success, where every working hour internet use is always slow because of the use of less than helpful in working time. Of course, with the internet with a capacity of 10Mbps, if used by one client to download something that is not related to the work that makes the internet becomes slow when another client who wants to use it. Therefore, the authors will do the design and implementation of bandwidth management at PT. Central Prima Success as a way to overcome the existing problems. In this design, the author will use the science of the method NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) which comprises several phases: analysis, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring, and management. The results of this design that is useful bandwidth management where when there are few or many clients, bandwidth will be divided by itself evenly depending on the number of clients that are currently active.
