Abstract

********************************************************************** This study aims to determine how much influence the use of instant messaging line on the effectiveness of information delivery in lectures among students of the Information Systems Study Program at Batam International University which were analyzed and tested by quantitative methods and the UTAUT model. This study provides an illustration that there is an influence of a number of independent variables from performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI) and facilitating conditions (FC) on the dependent variable behavioral Intention to Use the System (BIUS). Data and information in this study are the types of primary data collected through online dissemination using Google Form. After testing with a sample of 201 students using SPSS, the test results proved that there was a significant and insignificant positive influence between the independent variables on the dependent variable. Variable performance expectancy, effort expectancy and social influence have a significant effect on the behavioral intention to use system. While the facilitating conditions variable does not significantly influence the behavioral intention to use system variable. The highest influence is variable effort expectancy. So it can be concluded that the higher the ease of use of an information system or technology will increase the behavioral intention of someone to continue to use the system.
