Abstract
Camp.Vietnam adalah sebuah situs wisata bersejarah yang terletak di Pulau Galang, Batam, Kepulauan Riau. Situs tersebut memiliki nilai sejarah yang dapat meningkatkan wawasan masyarakat, tentang peristiwa pengungsian akibat perang saudara di Vietnam. Penulis merasa sebuah video dokumenter dapat menjadi sarana untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masayarakat untuk menjaga dan melestarikan situs bersejarah. Secara tidak langsung, video dokumenter ini dapat menjadi sarana promosi wisata. Proses pembuatan video dokumenter menggunakan metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Yang melewati proses concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, distribution --------------------------------------------------------- Vietnam Refugee Camp is a historical tourism site that situated in Galang Island, City of Batam, Riau Archipelago Province. The site had some historical value that can improve people’s knowledge, about refugees that come to the site due to civil war that occurred in Vietnam . Author feels that a documentary video could become a good media to improve awareness among people to taking care of the historical place. Indirectly, the documentary video could be an advertisement for the tourism site. The making process of the video were using MDLC method that include of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, distribution.
