Abstract

PT. VARTA Microbattery Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang battery assembly (Perakitan baterai). Perakitan baterai melewati beberapa proses, salah satunya adalah welding (pengelasan) dimana proses pengelasan ini dilakukan oleh mesin semi otomatis dan operator harus mengisi baterainya sendiri, jdi bagaimana bisa membuat sebuah alay yang dapat membantu operator dalam menghemat waktu? .Dari permasalahan diatas muncul ide penulis untuk membuat alat yang bisa membantu mengefisienkan waktu, yaitu conveyor yang dikendalikan oleh PLC ( programmable logic controller) supaya tidak ada waktu yang terbuang sia-sia. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan pada percobaan dengan menggunakan conveyor dan tanpa menggunakan conveyor ada perbedaan , yang mana pada percobaan tanpa conveyor rata-rata waktu yang diperlukan adalah 16.748 detik sedangkan percobaan dengan menggunakan conveyor rata-rata waktu yang diperlukan adalah 14,57 detik. ********************************************************************** PT. VARTA Microbattery Indonesia is a company engaged in the battery assembly. Battery assembly goes through several processes, one of which is welding where the welding process is carried out by a semi-automatic machine and the operator must charge his own battery, so how can it make an engine that can help the operator save time? From the above problems, the writer came up with the idea to make a tool that can help streamline time, namely a conveyor that is controlled by a PLC (programmable logic controller) so that no time is wasted. The results obtained in the experiment using a conveyor and without using a conveyor have a difference, which in the experiment without conveyor the average time required is 16.748 seconds while the experiment using an conveyor the average time required is 14.57 seconds.
