Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of leadership behavior on the employee performance with job satisfaction as mediator, case study in Batamindo Muka Kuning Industrial Batam. As independent variabel leadership behavioral, variables mediator are Job Satisfaction, dependent variable are the performance of Employees. The result showed that the variabel leadership behavior has a positif effect on employee performance, and job satisfaction, multiple regressions was applied according to the steps of Kenny and Baron (1986) who gave the specification of the procedure for regressions analysis when a mediating variabel is involved. The result of analysis using the coefisien of determination is known that 51.9% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by other factors outside the model.
