Abstract
This study aims at examines the effect individual charateristic on job satisfaction in Industrial Batamindo manufacturer. More specifically, the study examines the effect of leadership behavior and perceived organizational support on job satisfaction. The dependent variable used in this analysis is job satisfaction. The independent variables used in this analysis are leadership behavior and perceived organizational support. The analysis was implemented on a sample of 400 operators from electronic industries in Industrial Batamindo. A self administered questionnaire was developed to unrandomly survey by using quota sampling in order to examine the significance, strength and nature of the relationship between the above mentioned variables. Response patterns, analyzed by gender, age, marital status, education and tenure are also discussed. Statistic method used in this study is multiple regression method, and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program. The results reveal that leadership behavior and perceived organizational support has a strong positive relation on job satisfaction. And the interaction of leadership behavior and perceived organizational support has a strong positive relation with job satisfaction.
