Abstract

Job satisfaction and organizational commitment are the factors that will affect the employee performance in an organization. This will lead to the achievement of the organizational target effectively and efficiently. Pay structure and job redesign will affect both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Whereas job environment and employee empowerment just affected organizational commitment only. This study is examine by primary data which is collected by the results of the questionnaire that is particular designed for this study. In this study will examine the factors affecting job satisfaction and organizational commitment as these two variables are believed will have direct relation to organization target in achieving organization overall goal which is called profit. This research aims in analyzing the factors that affecting job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The factors that being used in this research that affecting job satisfaction and organizational commitment are pay structure, job redesign, job environment and employee empowerment. The research is being analyzed by dividing 235 questionnaire to respondents. The result indicates that pay structure is significant to job satisfaction and significant to organizational commitment. Job redesign is significant to job satisfaction and unsignificant to organizational commitment. While for job environment is unsignificant to organizational commitment. Lastly for employee empowerment is unsignificant to organizational commitment.
