Abstract
Over the last decade, environmentalism has matured into a significant social issue. Widespread public acceptance of the global environmental crisis has caused a gradual shift in the focus of the environmental movement. For marketers, environmentalism has become a criterion influencing consumer purchase behaviour. That’s why a lot of manufactures was start to produce environmental friendly products to fulfil the demand of consumer. The purpose of this research is to determine factors that affect consumer purchase behavior of environmental friendly products. In this research, writer try to understand and find the relationship among Attitude, Enviromental Consequences and Subjective Norm toward Environmentally Responsible Purchase Behavior with Environmentally Responsible Purchase Intention as intervening variable. The population of this research are customers of dry battery. The sample used are Batam City’s citizens who used dry battery as power resources to theirs electronics stuff. The sampling method used in this research is non-probability method with purposive sampling technique. Data collection method which is used in this research is regression survey method with interview technique and questionnaires to find the affect of independent variables to dependent variables. The results of this research showed that Environmental Consequences and Subjective Norm have no affect to Environmentally Responsible Purchase Behavior. Attitude cues found positively affect Environmentally Responsible Purchase Behavior, and Environmentally Responsible Purchase Intention is intervening variable that connect Attitude to Environmentally Responsible Purchase Behvior.
