Abstract
This study aims to analyze of factors affecting the level of job satisfaction and performance for the accountants in Batam with observation in 2012. The statistical methods that used in this research is regression analysis. Independent variables are pay, promotion, supervision, facility and benefit, contingent reward, co-workers, work itself, communication, attitude toward work, organizational commitment, job satisfaction and while the dependent variable is performance. The data obtained are primary data that sourced from the questionnaire that have been answer by the accountants and auditors that worked in Certified Public Accountant in Batam. The results indicated that pay, supervision, facility and benefits, contingent reward, co-workers, work itself, communication, attitude toward work do not have a significant effect with job satisfaction, promotion and organizational commitment have a significant effect while job satisfaction have a significant effect with performance.
