Abstract

This study aims to analyze of factor that influence leverage for manufacture company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange with observation period from 2006 to 2010. The statiscal methods that used in this research is multiple regression method. Independent variables are firm size, tangibility, profitability, growth, business risk, age, liquidity, asset turnover, effective tax rate, non-debt tax shields, interest coverage ratio, and unique, while the dependent variable is leverage. The data obtained from annual financial report of listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research observation consisted of 156 data of Indonesia. The results of Indonesia showed that firm size, growth, liquidity, asset turnover and interest coverage ratio significantly affect the leverage, but the effect of tangibility, profitability, business risk, age, effective tax rate, non-debt tax shields, and interest coverage ratio to leverage is not significant.
