Abstract

Batam City Cultural and Tourism Office is the implementing element regarding affairs in the field of culture and tourism in government within regional authority. The Mayor's Regulation becomes a form of Law (UU) which the Mayor stipulates, this regulation is included in the type of legislation in Article 7 paragraph (1) of Law 12 of 2011. The purpose of the Promotion of Culture is an action so that Indonesian culture can survive and contribute by means of protection, development, utilization, and cultural development. . In 2017, the government gave birth to Law No. 5 of 2017 on The Promotion of Culture which emphasizes strengthening cultural governance with a focus on four aspect, namely protection, utilization, development and construction. The method of implementation used is to use observation techniques, by interviewing sources or informants received have the option to give valid results and by collecting data in the field and obtain library data.
