Abstract
Dinding penahan tanah adalah konstruksi bangunan yang dibuat untuk menahan dan melindungi tanah atau lereng agar tidak longsor. Dinding penahan tanah ini harus dapat menahan tekanan tanah aktif dan pasif, tekanan air, beban serta momen yang ada disekeliling bangunan. Dinding penahan tanah yang baik adalah dinding penahan tanah yang dapat stabil terhadap penggulingan, penggeseran, dan daya dukung tanah. Dinding penahan tanah dapat dibedakan berdasarkan bentuk, tipe, serta bahan konstruksi yang digunakan. Dinding penahan tanah ini juga didukung oleh teori para ahli salah satunya adalah Rankine, dimana dapat menjadi acuan dalam melakukan perhitungan perencanaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis perhitungan dinding penahan tanah yang ada di kampus Universitas Internasional Batam, menyatakan bahwa dinding penahan tanah yang direncanakan sudah aman, dikarenakan stabil terhadap penggulingan, penggeseran dan daya dukung tanah. ********************************************************************** Retaining wall is a construction that is made to prevent sloppy soil from sliding or erosion. Retaining wall must be able to retain both active and passive soil pressures, loads, and moments around the building. A good retaining wall is the one that is resistance from the overturning, sliding and soil capability. Retaining wall is classified by shapes, types and materials. Retaining wall is also supported by expertise theories such as Rankine, where it can be used as reference in calculating and designing. Based on the analysis result of retaining wall calculation that is conducted at Universitas Internasional Batam, stated that the designed retaining wall is secure because it is resistance to soil shear and capability.
