Abstract

When the firm want to expand their business, the firm need to exploit investment. Rate of investment is depend from ability of firm finance. When the firm got the higher level of financing constrain, the firm will hard to expand their business. Because the firm’s fund is limited. In this study, bank loan and trade credit will play roles as external firm’s fund for investment. When the demand of bank loan exceed the supply of bank loan, trade credit will become a substitute of bank loan. The main objective of this study is to analysis the effect of bank loan, trade credit and level of financing constrain to investment. Statistic method that used in this study is regression method and multiple regression method. Independent variable that used in this study are bank loan, trade credit and level of financing constrain, however the dependent variable is investment and trade credit. The data that use in this study is the financial statement that published in BEI. The sample of this study are 36 manufacturing company with positive net income for the following 6 years and currency that stated in Indonesian Rupiah. The result of this study indicate that bank loan, trade credit and level of financing constrain have a significant relationship with investment. And bank loan also have a significant relationship with trade credit. Keywords: Bank Loan, Trade Credit, Level of Financing Constrain and Investment.
