Abstract

Kerja praktek lapangan merupakan salah satu syarat kelulusan dalam pendidikan Sarjana Pariwisata pada fakultas ekonomi universitas Internasional Batam. Kerja praktek ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai peranan pada departemen front office. Pelaksanaan on the job training ini dilaksanakan selama empat bulan. Terhitung dari bulan Agustus hingga 05 Desember 2019 di Aston Batam Hotel and Residence. Penyelesaian laporan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berpusat pada observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan pengalaman yang dialami langsung oleh penulis. Penyusunan laporan ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu, tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap penilaian dan pelaporan. Selama melaksanakan OJT penulis di tempatkan kebeberapa bagian, yaitu: reservasi, guest relation officer, operator dan bell-girl. Hasil dari pengimplementasian penulis menghasilkan kinerja yang berkembang dengan baik yang dapat dibuktikan melalui hasil evaluasi penilaian dari pihak hotel. Penulis berharap dengan laporan ini dapat dijadikan referensi untuk pembaca dan pihak hotel agar dapat memberikan peluang kepada mahasiswa/mahasiswi untuk menjalankan kerja praktek di Aston Batam Hotel and Residences. ********************************************************************** On the job training is one of the academic requirements in completing a Barchelor of Tourism in the Batam International University economic faculty. This practical work aims to provide information about role of the front office department. The implementation of this practical work is fulfill during the period August to December 2019 at Aston Batam Hotel and Residence. Method that used in the completion of this report is a qualitative method that focuses on observations, do some interview, literature studies and experiences experienced by the author. The preparation of this report is realise with the preparation phase, the implementation phase and the assessment and reporting stage. During implementation of OJT, Author is placed in several parts, such as: reservation, guest relation officer, operator and bell girl. The results of the author's implementation produce a well-developed performance that can be proven through the results of the evaluation of the hotel. The author hopes this report can be useful for readers and the hotel continues to provide opportunities for students to do practical work at Aston Batam Hotels and Residences.
