Abstract

Kerja Praktek yang dilaksanakan di Batam Tourism Polytechnic mempunyai tujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa – mahasiswi yang bertempat tinggal di Gedung Asrama BTP supaya dapat memperoleh layanan internet yang memadai, dikarenakan pada Gedung Asrama BTP belum terdapat infrastruktur jaringan yang menyediakan layanan internet. Perancangan jaringan yang dilakukan di Gedung Asrama BTP menggunakan metode Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). Tahap – tahap yang dilakukan adalah melakukan analisis, perancangan, simulasi, dan implementasi. Dari simulasi yang telah dilakukan dengan mewujudkan perancangan jaringan dengan perangkat pribadi, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan adanya layanan internet dengan menggunakan jaringan wireless maka sangat mempermudah mahasiswa – mahasiswi yang bertempat tinggal di Gedung Asrama BTP dalam melakukan proses pembelajaran. ********************************************************************** Internship conducted at Batam Tourism Polytechnic has the purpose to fulfill the needs of students that lives in BTP Dormitory to obtain adequate internet service, because the BTP Dormitory still lacks of internet service to accommodate student. The method that is used while designing BTP Dormitory Network Infrastructure is Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method. The steps according to this method are analyzing, design, simulation, and implementation. From the simulations that have been done by realizing the network design by using own personal devices, it can be concluded that internet service provided by wireless network help the students who live in BTP Dormitory in their learning process.
