Abstract

Perkerasan jalan merupakan struktur yang saling terintegrasi antar berbagai lapisan campuran material tertentu dimana masing – masing lapisan fungsi utamanya adalah untuk mereduksi pembebanan yang terjadi diatasnya dan kemudian didistribusikan kelapisan yang ada dibawahnya. Perkerasan dibagi menjadi 2 (dua) yaitu perkerasan lentur yang menggunakan aspal sebagai material pengikat dan perkerasan kaku yang menggunakan semen sebagai material pengikat. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pemanfaatan limbah keramik sebagai alternatif pengganti agregat pada campuran perkerasan. Limbah potongan keramik yang sudah tidak digunakan lagi akan disaring berdasarkan gradasi yang telah disesuaikan dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Potongan keramik mudah kita jumpai dalam berbagai proyek konstruksi, pemanfaatan limbah keramik sebagai salah satu bahan campuran diharapkan mampu menekan budget dan mengurangi limbah potongan keramik itu sendiri. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian laboratorium, diketahui bahwa aspal yang menggunakan limbah keramik sebagai alternatif pengganti agregat kasar memenuhi spesifikasi minimum Bina Marga. Nilai rerata MQ 722,211 kg/mm, nilai VIM sebesar 4,54%, nilai VMA sebesar 20,04% dan VFA sebesar 81,76% dimana keseluruhan nilai sudah sesuai dengan spesifikasi minimum Bina Marga Tahun 2018. Berdasarkan pengujian laboratorium tersebut limbah keramik dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pengganti agregat kasar. ********************************************************************** Pavement is an integrated structure between various layers of a particular material mixture where each layer’s main function is to reduce the loading that occurs on top of it, which is instead distributed to layers underneath. Pavement is divided into 2 (two), namely flexible pavement using asphalt as a binding material and rigid pavement using cement as a binding material. This study discusses the use of ceramic waste as an alternative aggregate replacement in the pavement mixture. Waste pieces of ceramics that are no longer used will be filtered based on gradations that have been adapted to applicable regulations. Ceramic pieces are easy to find in various construction projects, the use of ceramic waste as a mixture is expected to be able to reduce the budget and reduce the waste of ceramic pieces themselves. Based on the results of laboratory tests, it is known that asphalt using ceramic waste as an alternative to coarse aggregate meets the minimum specifications of Bina Marga. MQ value of 722,211 kg/mm, VIM value of 4,54%, VMA value of 20,04% and VFA value of 81,76% where the overall value are in accordance with the 2018 Bina Marga minimum specifications. Based on laboratory testing, ceramic waste can be used as an alternative to coarse aggregate.
