Abstract

Salah satu Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter yang termasuk dalam Nawacita Presiden adalah implementasi gemar membaca. Penelitian ini dikembangkan karena ditemui peserta didik yang tidak gemar membaca sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar rendah. Permasalahan membaca peserta didik dikarenakan sulitnya memahami isi buku teks pelajaran dan kurangnya pembahasan soal-saol dalam buku teks pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan suatu media pembelajaran yang berbentuk bacaan. Dengan adanya media pembelajaran berbentuk bacaan yang diberi nama SUKISI (Surat Kimia Siswa)ini diharapkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Pendekatan penelitian pengembangan ini mengikuti pendekatan penelitian 4D (Define, Design, Development dan Desimination) yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagaradjan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, media pembelajaran sukisi sudah valid menurut ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli bahasa. Dan dari hasil uji kelompok kecil media sukisi sudah layak untuk dipergunakan. Ketuntasan hasil belajar pada peserta didik yang menggunakan media pembelajaran sukisi pada materi Titrasi Asam Basa sebesar 96,7 % dengan rata-rata nilai 80,33 dan untuk materi Hasil Kali Kelarutan menunjukkan ketuntasan 90,0 % dengan nilai rata-rata 79,79 dari 30 peserta didik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran sukisi efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Selain itu hasil tanggapan peserta didik terhadap proses pembalajaran menunjukkan media pembelajaran sukisi dapat membantu peserta didik dalam memahami materi dan mempermudah pembelajaran kimia. ********************************************************************** One of the Strengthening Character in Education included in the President's Nawacita is the implementation of reading keenness. This research was conducted because it was encountered that students who are not fond of reading may cause low learning outcomes. The problem of reading in students is due to the difficulty of understanding contents of textbooks and the lack of discussion of questions in textbooks. This study aims to develop a learning media in the form of reading. With the reading media in the form of the name SUKISI (Student Chemistry Letter), it is hoped that there will be an increase in student learning outcomes. This development research approach follows the 4D (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination) research developed by Thiagaradjan. Based on the results of research that has been conducted, the success of learning with sukisi media is valid according to media experts, material experts and linguists. From the results of small groups test sukisi media are feasible to use. The mastery of learning outcomes in students who use the medium of learning success in the Acid Bases Titration material is 96.7% with an average value of 80.33 and for the Solubility, results material shows 90.0% completeness with an average value of 79.79 of 30 students. This shows that sukisi learning media is effective to improve student learning outcomes. Besides, the results of students' responses to the learning process indicate the success of learning media can help students understand the material and facilitate the learning of chemistry.
