Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi retensi karyawan pada karyawan restoran cepat saji di Batam. Variabel independen yang diteliti adalah rekrutmen dan seleksi, pelatihan kerja, penilaian kinerja dan kompensasi dan pengaruhnya terhadap variabel retensi karyawan sebagai variabel dependen. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner pada 280 responden yang merupakan karyawan dari empat restoran cepat saji di Batam. Sebanyak 270 kuesioner kembali dan selanjutnya dilakukan uji data menggunakan SPSS. Dari hasil pengolahan data dengan SPSS diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan antara semua variabel independen yang diteliti dengan variabel dependen. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan yang positif antara variabel rekrutmen dan seleksi, pelatihan kerja, penilaian kinerja dan kompensasi terhadap variabel retensi karyawan. Dengan hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat pada manajemen restoran cepat saji di Batam dalam mempertahankan karyawan yang berkualitas untuk tetap bekerja diperusahaan tersebut. ********************************************************************** The purpose of this study is to evaluate the factors influencing employee retention in fast food restaurant employees in Batam. The independent variables are recruitment and selection, job training, appraisal and compensation as well as its effect on employee retention as the dependent variable. This research was conducted by asking a questionnaire on 280 respondents who are employees of four fast food restaurants in Batam. A total of 270 questionnaires were returned and data were then tested using SPSS. From the results of data processing with SPSS which is recognized as the relationship between all variables supported by the dependent variable. From this study related to the positive significance between recruitment and selection variables, job training, performance appraisal and compensation for employee retention variables. With the results of this study are expected to provide benefits to the management of fast food restaurants in Batam in maintaining a quality company to continue working in the company.
