Abstract

Employee empowerment sangat diperlukan untuk diterapkan dengan berbagai upaya oleh perusahaan terhadap karyawan-karyawannya, dengan tujuan dapat mendongkrak employee performance demi kepentingan visi dan misi suatu perusahaan. Employee engagement juga dapat membantu proses empowerment untuk lebih mudah melakukan peningkatan terhadap employee performance. Pada penelitian yang dibahas oleh peneliti mencoba untuk memilih karyawan perbankan sebagai objek penelitian yang akan dibahas lebih lanjut. Peneliti memilih karyawan perbankan sebagai objek penelitian karena perbankan sudah termasuk sangat baik dalam hal penyeleksian dan merekrut karyawan yang dimana memiliki banyak tahapan dalam proses penyeleksian. Dan untuk tindakan lebih lanjut juga diperlukan pengetahuan bagaimana cara agar karyawan bisa mengalami peningkatan kinerja, oleh karena itu peneliti mencoba menemukan pengaruh dari employee empowerment terhadap employee performance dengan employee engagement sebagai mediator. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa variabel employee empowerment memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabel performance, dan employee engagement sebagai mediator juga memediasi hubungan antara employee empowerment dan employee performance. ********************************************************************** Employee empowerment is needed to be implemented with various efforts by the company towards its employees, with the aim of boosting employee performance in the interests of the vision and mission of a company. Employee engagement can also help the empowerment process to make it easier to improve employee performance. In the research discussed by researchers trying to select banking employees as research objects that will be discussed further. Researchers chose banking employees as the object of research because banks were very good in terms of selection and recruiting employees, which had many stages in the selection process. And for further action knowledge is also needed on how employees can experience increased performance, therefore researchers try to find the effect of emloyee empowerment on employee performance with employee engagement as a mediator. Based”on the results of the study,”it was found that the employee empowerment”variable had”a significant effect on the performance variable, and employee engagement as a mediator also mediated the relationship between employee empowerment and employee performance.
