Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh ethical leadership terhadap employee performance dengan employee engagement dan organizational citizenship behavior sebagai variabel mediasi. Objek yang diteliti dalam riset ini adalah karyawan hotel bintang 4 di Kecamatan, Lubuk Baja, kota Batam. Representatif dalam pengumpulan jumlah sampel menggunakan mekanisme purposive sampling, yang artinya sampel diperoleh dari karakteristik suatu populasi yang ditetapkan dalam pencapaian tujuan utama penelitian. Sedangkan, penggunaan aplikasi smartPLS edisi 3.2.8 digunakan sebagai metodologi structural equation modelling (SEM) yang merupakan teknik dalam penelitian ini yang berfungsi sebagai alat analisis pengaruh (ethical leadership) sebagai variabel independen terhadap (employee performance) sebagai variabel dependen dengan (employee engagement dan organizational citizen behavior) sebagai variabel mediasi. Hasil penelitian telah memberikan temuan, sesuai dengan variabel yang digunakan dalam riset ini. Dari integrasi keempat variabel ethical leadership, employee engagement, organizational citizen behavior dan employee performance membuktikan bahwa adanya pencapaian ethical leadership berdampak signifikan positif terhadap variabel mediasi (employee engagement dan organizational citizen behavior) dan Ethical leadership juga berdampak signifikan positif secara langsung terhadap employee performance ********************************************************************** This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of ethical leadership on employee performance with employee engagement and organizational citizenship behavior as a mediating variable. The object examined in this research is a 4-star hotel employee in the District, Lubuk Baja, Batam city. Representative in collecting the number of samples using a purposive sampling mechanism, which means that the sample is obtained from the characteristics of a population determined in achieving the main objectives of the study. Meanwhile, the use of smartPLS application edition 3.2.8 is used as a structural equation modeling methodology (SEM) which is a technique in this study that functions as an analysis tool of influence (ethical leadership) as an independent variable on (employee performance) as a dependent variable with (employee engagement and organizational citizen behavior) as a mediating variable. The results of the study have provided findings, in accordance with the variables used in this research. From the integration of the four ethical leadership variables, employee engagement, organizational citizen behavior and employee performance proves that the achievement of ethical leadership has a significant positive effect on mediation variables (employee engagement and organizational citizen behavior) and Ethical leadership also has a significant positive effect directly on employee performance
