Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai perbandingan balok, kolom serta volume beton pada struktur bangunan menggunakan circular column dan square column. Dalam rangka gedung, beban dari pelat dan balok akan disalurkan ke kolom dan selanjutnya kolom akan mengalihkan beban tersebut ke pondasi. Maka diperlukan penelitian bentuk kolom mana yang paling sesuai dan ekonomis. Proses perancangan dan analisis pada struktur ini menggunakan aplikasi SAP2000 dengan desain yang sepenuhnya dibuat oleh Penulis dan mengacu pada PPPURG 1987 serta Tata Cara Perencanaan Ketahanan Gempa untuk Bangunan Gedung (SNI 03-1726-2002). Berdasarkan perbandingan tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa penggunaan circular column membutuhkan volume beton sebesar 1531,754 m3 atau 14,633% lebih banyak daripada perencanaan struktur menggunakan square column yang hanya membutuhkan 1336,224 m3, sehingga square column pada struktur bangunan lebih efektif dan efisien karena membutuhkan volume beton dan baja tulangan yang lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan penggunaan circular column. ********************************************************************** This study explains the comparison of beams, columns and concrete volumes on building structures using circular columns and square columns. In the building frame, the load from the slab and beam will be transferred to the column and then the column will transfer the load to the foundation. So research is needed which form of the column is the most appropriate and economical. The process of designing and analyzing this structure uses the SAP2000 application with a design that was entirely made by the author and refers to the PPPURG 1987 and the Earthquake Resilience Planning Procedure for Building Buildings (SNI 03-1726-2002). Based on these comparisons, it can be seen that the use of square columns in building structures is more effective and efficient because it requires a smaller volume of concrete and reinforcing steel compared to the use of a circular column Based on these comparisons, it can be seen that the use of a circular column requires a concrete volume of 1531.754 m3 or 14.633% more than a structural plan using a square column that only requires 1336,224 m3, so that the square column in building structures is more effective and efficient because it requires concrete volumes and reinforcing steel is less than using a circular column.
