Abstract

PT. Neo Batam merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa dalam dunia pariwisata, yang dapat dikatakan sebagai biro perjalanan wisata. Berlokasi di komplek penuin center block S no.11, Lubuk Baja, Batam, dan merupakan biro perjalanan wisata yang sudah bergabung dengan ASITA. Perusahaan ini menawarkan beberapa produk wisata, diantaranya adalah tiket pesawat domestik dan internasional, tiket kapal ferry, paket wisata inbound dan outbound, dan lainnya. Penulisan laporan ini memiliki tujuan untuk membandingkan pengetahuan penulis akan dunia pariwisata dengan kenyataan yang ada selama kegiatan kerja praktek berlangsung serta untuk memaparkan hasil dari kegiatan kerja training yang penulis lakukan selama 3 bulan di PT. Neo Batam. Selama 3 bulan tersebut, penulis mengembangkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran penulis akan perkembangan industri pariwisata yang terjadi di lingkupan biro perjalanan wisata, penulis mampu mengembangkan kemampuan penulis akan promosi. Semua hal tersebut dapat penulis gunakan sebagai suatu bekal yang dapat digunakan untuk mempersiapkan diri akan apa yang hendak penulis hadapi di dalam dunia kerja. ********************************************************************** PT. Neo Batam is one of the service developing company in tourism field, that can be said as travel bureau in Batam City. Located in Komplek penuin center block S No. 11, Lubuk Baja, Batam, and has joined ASITA. This company offered a few tourism product such as domestic and international flight ticket, ferry ticket, inbound and outbound tour packages and cruise packages. The purpose of this report is to compare writer’s knowledge about tourism and the reality that happened during the internship period, and to shows the result of the training program that writer has done for 3 months in PT. Neo Batam. During those months, I, as writer has improved a knowledge and awareness about the changes and development in tourism industry that is happening in tourism especially in the scoope of travel bureau, as well as developed a skill of product promotion. All those things can be used as self-preparation to build writer’s carreer in the upcoming time in working industry.
