Abstract

Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kegunaan Opendaylight, pada jaringan sekarang yang tidak memakai SDN, pada perangkat keras jaringan maupun perangkat lunak jaringan selama ini dikendalikan oleh vendor-vendor perushaan, dikarenakan perbedaan perangkat keras sulit mengintregrasi dengan perangkat keras, jika sebuah perusahaan mempunyai topologi yang sangat komplek 1000 switch dan disuruh konfigurasi satu persatu maka dapat menyebabkan banyaknya kerjaan network administrator. Dimana setiap perangkat yang terkoneksi dengan controller opendaylight dengan menggunakan openflow hanya perlu konfigurasi dikontroller, jadi tidak perlu konfigurasi diperangkatnya hanya perlu konfigurasi dikontroller saja dan kontroller ini tidak terikat dengan vendor apa pun dan support openflow, jadi bisa mengkonfigurasi perangkat dengan vendor apapun. Dengan adanya menggunakan Kontroller lebih gampang di manage dengan adanya banyak switch, dan tanpa meggunakan controller sangat susah manage banyak switch dan menpersusah kerjaan administrator jaringan. Skripsi ini dilakukan selama periode 01 November 2017 s.d. 09 Maret 2018. ------------------------------------------------ This research aims to analyze the usage of Opendaylight,which network these days doesn't use SDN anymore, network hardware or software was controlled by company vendors all the time, caused by difficulty in integration from different hardware, if a company has a complex network topology consists of 1000 switchs, it will burden network administrator's work if they had to configure the switchs one by one. Each hardware connected with opendaylight controller using openflow will just need to configure the controller, it is configured in the controller not in the hardware and this controller is not bounded with any vendor and it supports openflow, so it can configure hardware with any vendor type. Using controller will results in easier to manage large amount of switchs. without controller it will be difficult to manage number of switchs and burden network administrator's work. this research is conducted during the period 01 november until 09 march 2018
